Information You Submit
A name, telephone number, or address entered into a search form is sent to the third-party provider that supplies results. Guadalupe County Residents Directory does not retain a separate copy of those searches. When a visitor contacts us, we receive the contents of that message and use them to respond.
Information Collected Automatically
Routine hosting logs can include an IP address, browser type, pages requested, and time of visit. We review this information in aggregate for site operation and readership patterns. Cookies or similar tools may be used for basic analytics and, where applicable, advertising measurement.
How Limited Data Is Used
That limited information supports site operation, error correction, traffic measurement, and page improvements. We do not sell visitor lists or create individual visitor profiles.
External Websites and Search Providers
Links may lead to Guadalupe County or Texas record portals, library collections, archives, and third-party search services. A visitor's submission to one of those services is governed by that service's own privacy policy. The same is true for sponsored search results supplied by a third party.
Service Providers and Disclosures
Hosting and site-support providers process server logs on our behalf. Analytics and advertising providers may receive the automatic data described above. We disclose information only when valid legal process requires disclosure.
Safeguards and Retention
The site uses an encrypted connection, and logs are retained only for the purposes stated here. Because there are no site accounts, this site does not maintain a visitor password or account profile.
Visitors Under 18
This reference is intended for adults and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from a person under 18. If a minor has sent us information, contact us and we will delete it.
Your Choices and Public Records
You may ask to access, correct, or delete personal data that this site holds about you. Because our holdings are limited, we will check the contact mailbox and available server logs and remove information we locate. Use the Contact Us page to make a request. Government-held records are outside our control: Texas Government Code §552.115 controls access periods for vital records; Texas Election Code §13.004 and Government Code §552.1175 protect specified voter information; and the Texas Address Confidentiality Program is governed by Code of Criminal Procedure chapter 56, subchapter C. Requests concerning those records belong with the relevant custodian.
Policy Updates
We will post a revised policy here when this policy changes. Continued use after publication of a revision constitutes acceptance of that revision.
